Preserving milk.-Apparatus for pasteurizing milk comprises a vessel a fitting upon a boiler b and having a partition g with one or more openings through which the milk flows, an inclined bottom c, and stirring-vanes j1 carried by a spindle h, which is either cranked to be rotated by hand or is fitted with a pulley &c. h2. Stirring-vanes may be placed above the partition g as well as, or instead of, below it. According to the Provisional Specification, thermometers may be fitted into the outlet pipe d and into a tube in the vessel a.
