Stockings and socks.-The upper suspenderengaging portions of socks and stockings are reinforced by one or more strips of woven fabric or other suitable material applied to one or both sides of the material of the sock &c., or inserted in openings therein. Fig. 3 shows a strip which is adapted to extend down the inside and outside of the garment. Several such strips may be united at their lower ends by a band passing round the leg of the sock &c.
