摘要
1545. Kerrinues, H. Jan. 20, 1910, [Convention date]. Cultivators a n d digg e r s . - A cultivating- machine comprises saws for tearing up the ground, spades for further disintegrating, mixing, or inverting it, and rotary forks for placing manure in front of the saws. Frames d are mounted eccentrically between disks c and are connected by a rod k to a crank-shaft m, which is driven from the motor a by a connecting-rod l. The saws f are resiliently mounted in brackets on the frames d by means of springs h, a. The saws may be turned about pivots e1, or the springs i adjusted by means of screws g. The rotary manure forks o are driven from the motor in a direction opposite to that of the travelling wheels. Spades p are carried by rods q mounted in disks r and connected by cranks s to eccentric arms or disks u, so as to keep the spades vertical. The spades are resiliently mounted by means of springs y, z, and are driven at a greater speed than the carriage by chain gearing.
