5215. Wheeler, M. A. March 1. Match-box holders comprise a frame a having a compartment to receive a match-box band a compartment e for burnt matches. The top of the holder has a longitudinal slit f serrated at g and a central hole h, through which the burnt matches are sprung. Apertures dare provided in the side or sides of the holder to expose the striking-surface c of the match-box. A hinged lid i is provided. In a modification, longitudinal and transverse slits are formed in the top of the holder, a fixed or removable partition is arranged between the compartments, and the lid is arranged to slide or to be removable. The two compartments may be made separate and secured together by means of stamped projections on the one adapted to engage slits in the other.
