21,429. Pediani, E. Sept. 20. Life-boats.-Comprises a completely enclosed life-boat, provided with hatchways fastened from the inside, preventing overcrowding. Beneath the boat A space m is reserved for water-ballast and communicates with the sea by valves 11, 12, 13. The space m is filled by exhausting the air through pipes 15.
