Piling material in bulk; conveying-apparatus. -In apparatus for piling excavated material, in which the material is transported by an endless belt 3 mounted on an arm or jib 2 carried by a travelling or stationary framework, evenness of the dump heap is ensured by the provision of an auxiliary endless belt 18 mounted on a frame 14 provided with rollers 13 adapted to travel along the arm 2. The conveyer is arranged beneath the drum 5 of the main conveyer and is driven therefrom by an endless cable 19. The conveyer is adjusted by cables 21 operated from a platform on the framework of the main conveyer.
