D i r e c t air - pressure apparatus, automatic; valves for pressure fluid, actuation of; valves for pressure fluid, arrangement of.- Apparatus for raising sewage &c. comprises an ejecting chamber 17 communicating with a valve chamber 16 by ports 18, which are adapted to be closed when the chamber 17 is full. The supply and exhaust of compressed air is controlled by a tubular valve 9, which is actuated by a float 19 through a weighted cam 20 and has valve faces 11. 12 co-operating with faces of a stationary member 1 to control the admission of compressed air from a pipe 14, and a face 10 controlling the exhaust part 3 in the member. The ports 18 may be closed by a disk valve 33 on the float rod, or by a valve connected to the cam 20. In another form, the arrangement of the valve seatings is slightly modified and the cam co-operates with a tumbler weight.
