Removing stalks from fruit.-An endless travelling band c of wooden or metal laths or fabric with spikes d carries the fruit, such as currants, to a brush f rotating in the opposite direction. The berries roll down the band to a suitable receptacle, while the stalks are carried forward by the spikes an removed by a brush i. A comb g removes berries which are carried round by the brush f. Rollers h are adjustable to press the band into concave form. The angle of inc'lination of the band c is adjustable.
