Mats.-In a modification of the scraper or sweeper described in the parent Specification, the sweeping-elements c, formed from the beads of pneumatic tyres, are held in position by separate loops b1 pivotally mounted on the cross-bars d of a support f by means of central rivets e. The loops b1 may be used by themselves or combined with loops b formed from metal strips a in the manner described in the parent Specification. The sides of the loops b1 are bent to grip the lateral faces of the elements c.
