Improvements in and relating to kaleidoscopic projecting apparatus

Kaleidoscopic apparatus comprises a rotatable mirror system, a movable surface carrying designs, means for illuminating the surface, and means for projecting the image and enabling the image to be directly viewed. As shown, a source of light 19, a. positive. lens system 2, a plurality of kaleidoscopic reflecting systems 4, 5, 6 mounted on a movable carrier 3 so that any of them may be brought into operative position, and a rotatable object-box are provided. The carrier 3 may be rotated by a knob 12 and may be held in position by locking means 7. The reflecting systems, when in operative position, may be rotated by a knob 9 through toothed wheels 10, 11. The object-box 14 has clear and ground glass faces and is rotatable by a knob secured to a bevel wheel meshing with the bevel wheel 17. The lamp-house 18 is removably attached to a casing 13 and carries a reflector 20 and lens 21. A bracket is provided on each side of the apparatus each carrying a spool and roller which enable a film carrying designs to be passed between the box 14 and the carrier 3. A reflector 27 hinged to a rack member 28 engaged by a pinion rotatable by, a knob 29 is provided in front of the lens system 2.
