Improvements in means for securing sweeping brush handles to sweeping brush heads

Reversible hinged handles; fixing by detachable sockets with nail securing-devices. -A handle 4 is secured in a recess in a sweeping-brush head 1 by passing it through a thimble 3 with trunnions 7 pivoted in the recess, the thimble being held inclined to either side by a reversible saddle piece 5 that is screwed to the head in one or other of two opposite positions. To secure the handle to the thimble, a nail may be driven into the handle from one of two holes 8 in the trunnions having recesses 9 for the head of the nail, of which the point is riveted into the other hole.
