Contents, facilitating access to; fittings, internal.-A box for eggs, which are disposed in the usual fillers 7 on flats 6, has a hinged lid 4 and a side 5 hinged at its lower edge so that when the lid is opened and the hinged side let down the fillers and flats can be slid into or withdrawn from the box; the flats may be strengthened by binding their edges with a thin strip of metal. As shown, the side 5 has an extension 5a which engages with in the flange 4a of the lirl when the latter is closed and the remaining sides of the box may also be provided with similar extensions; the side 5 may have side clips to engage the fixed sides 2 of the box.
