Stands; mats.-A stand on which a cup, vase, ornament, or the like may be mounted comprises a plinth c having a boss c2 over which the hollow bottom of a cup is passed. The cup is held by pegs d2 or balls, engaging the inner inclined surface of the cup under the action of springs d3 contained in tubes e. A plinth may have a number of projections to house several cups or the like.
