摘要
Beater arms for crushing oil-bearing seeds and parts of cement grinding machines may be reinforced with steel containing 0,4-0,6 per cent of carbon, 2,5-5 per cent of chromium, and 1-2 per cent of molybdenum by deposition from a flux covered arc welding electrode. The deposited metal is stated to be in the tempered martensitic condition, has a Brinell hardness of 600-700 and is sufficiently tough to withstand heavy abrasive and hammering stresses. The ferrous core of the electrode may contain 1-1,5 per cent of carbon, 5-7 per cent of chromium, and 2-3 per cent of molybdenum. A core of gauge 6 contains 1,1 per cent of carbon, 5 per cent of chromium and 2 per cent of molybdenum, whereas a core of gauge 8 contains 1,2 per cent of carbon, 6 per cent of chromium and 3 per cent of molybdenum, and a core of gauge 10 contains 1,4 per cent of carbon, 7 per cent of chromium and 3 per cent of molybdenum.
