[Class 69 (iii).] A sprinkler head for shower baths comprises a chamber a, Fig. 1, having a conical extension a2 leading to a circular discharge orifice a3 of comparatively large cross section formed with a flared lip a4, to which chamber water is delivered by one or more tangential pipes b so as to form a bell-shaped film of water c which form drops at its edge. In order to close the outlet when not in use it may be provided with a valve d, Fig. 3, attached to a rod f connected to a spring-balanced diaphragm e acted on by the water. A horn f reaching below the nozzle but not so far as the water bell may be provided as a protection against dam age.
