[Class 65 (i)] In door &c. operating apparatus of the kind Comprising a power-driven rotatable crank adapted upon rotation to effect the opening or closing of a door &c. to which it is connected by linkage &c. only the closing of the door is mechanically controlled. The crank 5 rotated by the motor 1 is connected by a link 6 to a lever 7 pivoted at 8 and carrying a bracket 9 adapted to engage the upper end of a dooroperating link 10 pivoted at 8 when the crank is rotated in door-closing direction, and to move away from it when the crank is rotated in the opposite direction so that the door is not effected by the movement. A rod 12 pivoted to the crank carries two contacts 15, 16 adapted to bridge respectively pairs of contacts 17, 18 and operate a contactor 19 controlling a circuit of the motor 1. In another form for a twosection gate, both ends of the crank are connected by links to the sections.
