534,960. Switches without quick action. UNITED-CARR FASTENER CORPORATION. Jan. 12, 1940, No. 732. Convention date, Jan. 24, 1939. [Class 38 (v)] A push-pull switch suitable for mounting on the dashboard of a motor car has a hollow casing 1 with an open end at the left through which the movable contact carrying member 22 is introduced and a small hole at the right through which the operating shaft 38a normally projects the open end being closable by a detachable cap 43 which clips on the casing and has a relatively movable tongue 52 normally adapted to act as a stop for the member 22 but bendable back as shown to allow the member 22 to be withdrawn. This allows the switch to be readily attached to the dashboard 11 by a hollow bolt 12 which is screwed into a nut 9 welded to the casing 1, by a tool which engages the hexagonal bore 15 of the bolt. The contact-carrying member 22 slides on a member 31 and carries contacts 21 engageable by stud contacts pressed through holes in the casing by blade springs arranged outside. Specification 530,090 is referred to.
