[Class 44] [Also in Group XXXIII] A clamp for a closure device comprises a lug 14, 21, on each of the parts 13, 12 to be clamped, a rotatable member 16 freely and detachable mounted on one of the lugs, a drag link 9 pivotally connected by a pin 19 to the rotatable member and having a pin 23 at the other end providing detachable connection to the other lug. The rotatable member has an operating lever 18 welded thereto. In the clamping position the pivotal connection between the drag link and the rotatable member is disposed beyond or is close to a dead centre position so as automatically to maintain the clamp in a clamping position in which position it may be locked by engaging a pin 24 in holes 25.
