In sealing means for tying devices wherein a metal seal is fixed to a cord or the like and comprising a rollable tongue 1 provided .with teeth 2 bent upwardly from the plane of the tongue at its side edges, a part 5 for accommodating the rolled-up tongue and a tag 6, the height of the successive teeth is alternately greater and smaller than the height of the intermediate teeth. The bases of the smaller teeth and those of the large teeth may be in alignment with each other or located along two parallel lines.
