摘要

A methodology to characterize the friction and wear performance of polyurethane U-cup seals under incomplete lubrication conditions was developed using a reciprocating seal test-rig and a low viscosity power fluid. It could be verified that polyurethanes can be effectively modified by the addition of lubricating agents to achieve a better tribological and sealing performance under incomplete lubrication conditions. Finally the results gained from seal testing are compared with that one we achieved using tribometer testing on standard test specimens.
