Class 75 (3) A vehicle headlamp comprises a casing 9 connected to the vehicle body, a cylindrical ring 7 connected to the inside of the casing by means which allow the cylindrical ring to be angularly adjusted and a front glass 2 the rim of which is enclosed by a metal ring 14 having lugs 4 extending backward axially to be connected to the adjustable ring 7 by bayonet joints. The metal ring 14 is formed by the rim of a reflector 1 which is extended radially and then bent around the rim of the front glass. The lugs 4 have bayonet slots 6 receiving pins 12 formed by cut out and downwardly bent parts of the adjustable ring and in order to hold the pins in the end recesses in the slots leaf springs 13 act between a downward flange 8 on the adjustable ring and the reflector. The adjustable ring is angularly adjusted by screws 15 which pass through holes in an upward flange in the ring and in the casing 9, compression springs 16 surrounding the screws between the ring and casing; the nuts for the screws are non-rotatably mounted outside the casing 9, i.e. inside the vehicle body. The space between the adjustable ring and the mouth of the casing may be closed by an annular member 17 retained by bayonet joints comprising pins on the adjusting ring and slots in the member 17.
