796,082. Frequency or amplitude modulation receivers. KOLSTER-BRANDES, Ltd. June 29, 1956, No. 20163/56. Class 40 (5). An A.M. or F.M. receiver detector circuit comprises a ratio detector having a transformer 4 with tertiary winding 10, a stabilizing capacitor 16 with shunt resistor 15, a de-emphasis network 18, 19, 20, an output resistor 22, and switches 17, 21 for disconnecting the stabilizing capacitor 16 and shunt resistor 15, and the D.C. emphasis capacitor 20, so that A.M. instead of F.M. signals are detected across the output resistor 22, when an A.M. signal is applied in series with the tertiary winding 10 from across a transformer 1, 6 tuned to the A.M. intermediate frequency.
