The subject-matter of this Specification is identical with that described in Specification 829,623, but the claims cover the features of the clip being of such a width and the hole for the holding down element being so positioned that when the clip is moved angularly from the railengaging position it will not overlap the rail foot. Rows of such clips arranged on both sides of the rail provide a reception channel for a replacement rail thus facilitating its correct gauging with its companion rail. The claims also include the feature of the edges of the recess in the lower member being of arcuate form to facilitate the angular movement of the clip. Specification 829,625 also is referred to.
