Class 75(4) An electric light fitting for use with at least two elongated lamps 1, 2 arranged parallel and spaced apart comprises holders for the lamps and reflecting means 3, 4 disposed on one side of the plane passing through the longitudinal axes of the lamps, the reflecting means comprising two concave portions each of which intercepts substantially all the light emitted from one or other of the lamps in a predetermined angle of about 120 degrees. In section the reflectors may each be part of an ellipse. The lamps may be provided with means restricting the emission of light to an angle of less than 120 degrees, e.g. by means of a reflecting coating. Two further reflectors 6, 7 may be mounted at the outer edges of the main reflectors for directing part of the light outwards and may be perforated to provide some upwardly directed light. The reflecting coating of the lamps may be of titanium dioxide and may be of a thickness to transmit a small portion of the light.
