A covering sheet of transparent synthetic plastics material incorporating a substance absorbent to ultra-violet light has a coating thereon of transparent solvent-sensitive adhesive readily soluble in alcohol. The plastics material may be cellulose acetate. The adhesive may be polyvinyl ether, polyvinyl acetate or polyvinyl acetal. The transparent synthetic plastics material may form a yellow or orange coloured transparent film.
