A toy weapon capable of firing caps from a strip of caps comprises a trigger 17 operating a spring-loaded firing pin 33, an annular magazine chamber within the weapon for accommodating a strip of ammunition 69, and having an opening 57G for the loading of the ammunition substantially tangentially into the magazine chamber, and indexing means 47, for successively angularly moving the ammunition strip caps to a firing position. The magazine chamber is formed by the annular space S between an anvil member 61A, and a casing 55, which may be that of a unit detachable from the weapon or an integral part of the weapon. A hole 55H is formed in the casing for the entry of the firing pin. The opening 57G when formed as part of the weapon may be closed by a cover.
