This invention relates to a method of selectively removing plutonium values from a fluid mixture containing plutonium hexafluoride and uranium hexafluoride by passing the mixture through a bed of pelletized cobaltous fluoride at a temperature in the range 134 DEG to 1,000 DEG F. to effect removal of plutonium by the cobaltous fluoride.
