[Also in Divisions B2, C3 and D1] Oligomer derivatives of the formulµ Q-NR 1 R 2 or Q = N-R;, wherein Q is a residue of a branched internally-unsaturated tetrafluoroethylene or hexafluoropropylene oligomer after one or two fluorine atoms have been removed and R 1 and R 2 are alkyl, aryl, substituted alkyl or substituted aryl groups or R 1 is a hydrogen atom or R 1 and R 2 together complete a heterocyclic ring, are prepared by reacting the above oligomers with the appropriate primary or secondary amines. If desired, compounds within the above formulµ may be interconverted, e.g. by acylation of a hydroxy group or quaternization of an amino group. Some of the compounds have surface-active properties and are useful as cationic, anionic or non-ionic detergents.
