COATING MICROSPHERES WITH METALLIC TUNGSTEN

摘要

Coating particles esp. nuclear fuel microspheres with metallic tungsten by fluidising the particles in an inert gas, heating the fluidised bed to 400-500 degrees C, spraying an aq. soln. of a tungsten cpd. into the bed to form a tungsten oxide layer on the particles and reducing the coating to the metallic state with a fluidising gas contg. H2 at 600-800 degrees C.
