A connecting wire for resistors or capacitors consists of pure or alloyed copper and is immediately ready for soldering because it is galvanically coated on its surface with a =5 mu thick layer of Sn and Ni. The compn of the soldering layer is 65 wt. % Sn and 35 wt. % Ni.
