Moulding of foam plastic building units from reactive components are generally as disclosed in the parent application, but with the further improvement whereby wetting of the inner wall of the mould takes place in such a way that the stationary mould in its closed form is initially completely filled with the material for producing an outer skin on the moulding and thereafter is allowed to drain out from the mould again, so that the material for forming the outer skin of the moulding remains adhering to the mould wall.
