Pesticidal azido-triazines - with effects on insect larvae

(A) Combatting insects using s-triazine derivatives of formula (I): (where R1 is H, cyclopropyl, 1-methylcyclopropyl, 2-methylcyclopropyl, 1-5C alkyl, 3-4C alkenyl, 3-4C alkynyl or cyano-substituted 1-5C alkyl, and n is 0 or 1). (B) Compounds (I) in which R1 is R'1, is R'1 being H, 3-4C alkenyl or 3-4C alkynyl. (I) are active against insects. They primarily affect the final stage of larval development, giving rise to the death of egg-larvae and inhibiting the emergence of adults from pupae. The mode of action is distinct from that of classical insecticides, chemosterilants and juvenile hormone. (I) may be used in the same way as the compounds of DT 2226012 (Derwent No. 81630T).
