The machine consists of a rake and a baffle plate shaped so that any stones or refuse picked up during swathe-discharge and turning, are diverted and laid beside the swathe. The rake consists of a tubular mounting pivot-mounted on an axle in bearings on the swathe-hood. The rake support is positioned behind the back edge of the hood, without leaving a gap liable to be blocked by the crop. The tines are situated radially along the support, along one plane. The support forms the back edge of the hood. The tines may be straight or bent in the swathe direction, and their position can be adjusted.
