Mine roadway dust suppressing agent - comprising calcium chloride or magnesium chloride with alkylphenol oxyethylate wetting agent

Dust suppression in mine roadways is effected by hydroscopic salts and wetting agents. The compsn. used consists of an aq. soln. of 20 to 40 wt.% CaCl2 and/or Mg/Cl2, and 0.1-2.0 wt.% alkylphenol oxyethylate serving as wetting agent. A mixture of alkylphenol oxyethylates having one or more 1-5C side chains and an oxyethylation degree of 3-9, may be used.
