Automatic warehouse goods collection system - information block controls carriage and indicates order

The information block has light signals (10) and number signals (11) giving order number, and number signals (13) giving the number of articles called for on the order. One push button (14) unlocks the system and allows a punch card to be inserted and another push button (15) starts the traveller which moves off and comes to rest to the right of the division where the articles are stored. Arrow (12) indicates the level at which the articles are stored. The person collects the articles and presses button (16) to indicate order complete. He then receives details of next order.
