Collapsible packer apparatus for sealing pipe leaks

A packer apparatus for the internal sealing of pipe leaks, the packer being of the type having a cylindrically shaped body with arcuate portions that are pivotally attached such that the cylindrically shaped body may be radially, inwardly collapsed. The arcuate portions are removable from the body to facilitate the insertion of the packer apparatus through a conventionally sized manhole. The cylindrically shaped body has axially spaced inflatable tubes which are adapted to be expanded and cooperate with the internal wall of the pipe to define, between the pipe wall and the opposing inner surfaces of the tubes, an annular space through which a grouting operation may take place for the purpose of sealing the pipe leak.
