The compartments are formed by side pegs (38), which are pressed and bent upright out of the box floor or the parallel floor of an insert. The pegs project upwards past the maximum pen thickness, and the ends carry a formed head, which limits the distance between two pegs of a compartment to less than the maximum pen thickness. The peg ends may be rolled-in, or carry pressed-out edges, to form the heads. Preferably the pegs in longitudinal cross section are trapeziums in shape. The base and cover of the assembly are formed in an identical manner using a single work tool set.
