The passenger compartment shell pivots on two trunnions fitted to its front and rear. An oscillation absorbing system fitted absorbs torsional oscillation between the front and rear of the vehicle. Both axles and axle supports (3, 4) are connected by a frame (5) that provides torsional stiffness. The frame member (5) is surrounded by a tube that has a fork connecting it to the rear axle. The connection to the front axle is via a torsion damper (6) that consists of a tubular double operating damping cylinder operating between two outriggers fixed, one to the tube and the other to the front axle.
