a target practice system employs a wave generating device incorporated in or with the firearm, and a receiving system at the target which is operated by the signals generated when the firearm is fired, so as to indicate the score. The wave generating device may be battery powered and its operation may be combined with the action of the firing of a shot, e.g. contacts may be closed to power the generating device. The target may consist of a parabolic reflector, with a set of receiving devices arranged around the centre, corresponding to different parts of the target. In an alternative design, a rotating arm carries a set of receiving devices spaced along it. Alternative devices incorporated on the weapon, include a lamp or an electroluminescent diode beamed down the barrel.
