An anti roll device for road vehicles, with variable flexibility, consists of two equalisers and two pneumatic springs. Each of the equalisers moves around a shaft secured to the vehicle chassis and is connected to an arm responsive to road wheel movement. Rolling of the vehicle involves movement of one equaliser relative to the other and respective expansion and compression of the springs which are fitted between the ends of the equalizers. The compressibility of the springs can be adjusted by varying the pressure of the air according to the axle load involved. The air feed is also controlled according to vehicle speed. Adjustments are done automatically.
