The invention provides a modular building structure whose framework is constructed from a set of identical elongate members, each having identical connecting arrangements. Various configurations for the framework resulting in respective dome like structures are disclosed. Inflatable covering panels for the framework are also disclosed as providing desirable insulating and fatigueresistant properties. A method of manufacturing such covering panels is also disclosed. The covering panels also have application in replacing existing glass panels in existing conventional structures.
