Dynamoelectric inductor alternator - with polyphase field and armature windings on stator useful as frequency alternators, or angular velocity transducers

Alternator has a stator, rotor producing cyclic variations in magnetic permeances of a number of magnetic circuit paths formed between rotor and stator. A polyphase field winding is on the stator, and an armature winding on the stator and arranged in one or more phases with phase(s) comprising two series-connected groups of coils. Each group is associated with a different phase winding of the polyphase field winding. The coils of one group are displaced relative to corresponding coils of another group of the same armature phase by an electrical angle equal to that between energisations of the field phase-winding associated with those groups.
