Road sign locations using accurately reproduced sign transfer - with photographs of signs placed on road plan and related to required position

The location of road signs within a traffic system is determined by a road plan with accurate photographic reproductions of the signs placed along side designated positions. Black and white photographs of the signs are reproduced to a suitable scale in transfer form and they are located on a suitable scale plan of an intersection. The directional signs are displaced from the location, but are positioned in the correct direction. A tagging line connects with the point location required for the signs. Highway code signs are shown along one side of the plan each with an identifying number that is reproduced on the plan. The plan is produced on a suitable transparent foil to allow ready reproduction.
