The device has a support (S) coupled on a part of a guard rail (G). The support has arrangements to mount a road sign (P) on the rail. The support receives a remotely controllable motorized assembly (8) constituted of an electric motor subjected to an electronic control board. The assembly positions the road sign along two angularly offset positions under a rotational driving effect, where one position corresponds to the alignment of the road sign with respect to the guard sign, and the other position corresponds to the 90 degree orientation of the road sign with respect to the guard rail.
