Automatic warning device for agricultural machines - has fault detectors which actuate hooter and shut down engine

The safety system stops the drive when a fault occurs by means of four control elements (5, 8, 9, 15) inserted in the system. The vehicle speed is reduced by a control lever (2). The control elements (5, 8, 9, 15) consist of an electromagnetic valve (9), a two way valve (8), and a ram (5) with a load regulator (15), governed by the speed lever (2). Supplied with an electrical signal these move the speed lever to the stop position. The time between warning and stop is governed by the regulator (15) and is adjustable. Alternatively the control system consists of a d.c. electromagnet (20) excited by a relay (21) actuated by a warning signal. This also acts on the speed lever (2). There is also audible warning (14), if needed.
