All weather sports footwear, esp. football boots, has grips which are screwed or snap fitted in suitable seats in the sole. This kind of boot can be readily adapted to given weather and location conditions. The boots combine the advantages of those provided with grip plugs or with spikes. The sole (1) has the usual number of grips and additional grips seats which are usually covered with covering screws or plugs. Additional screwed or snap fit features (22) can be fitted into these additional holes to improve grip.
