Automatic levelling pneumatic suspension - has additional gas springs to level lorry against loading ramp

The pneumatic suspension of the lorry is fitted with additional pneumatic rams between the pressure control valve and the axle. When the lorry is backed onto a loading ramp the additional rams are modulated to line up the lorry surface with the ramp, while the main suspension elements are lowered. The vehicle then automatically maintains its height while being loaded. The system can be fitted to existing self levelling suspensions so that loading is eased. The additional arms merely alter the level of the load surface without affecting the setting of the valve.
