Pharmaceutical phial packing machine - having loading hopper with inclined belt conveyor delivering to recesses in distributor wheel periphery

The phials are supplied to the machine in a supply box which travels along a conveyor. The box is closed by a trap door which is held closed by an electro-magnet. When the box reaches the end of its travel, the trap door is opened and the phials are supplied to a hopper. The base side of the hopper has a conveyor belt travelling over gullies so that the phials are fed into the toothed wheel. This wheel carries the separated phials to the base of the machine where the phials are fed onto racks which form part of the pack.
