The feed device, includes a collar(17) fixed to the casing of the machine tool (1) at its extremity (4). A cylindrical coupling (9) is suspended from the collar by two connecting pieces(14, 15) hinged(19, 20) to the collar, to the coupling and to each other such that their combined length is greater than the distance between the collar and the coupling and arranged so that they can only fall open to a certain angle(A). The coupling has a bore greater than the diameter of the tool and is supplied with pieces(13) for the tool via a tube(11) exiting into an orifice(10), the pieces then being held in a support(12).
