1480655 Controlling temperature of fluidised beds MONTEDISON SpA 21 Jan 1975 [23 Jan 1974] 2626/75 Heading B1F The amount of water fed from manifold 7, Fig. 3, to cooling tubes 10 is regulated to control the temperature of catalytic exothermic reactions carried out in a fluidised bed in which the tubes are immersed, the water thus being completely evaporated and the resulting steam being superheated by heat exchange with the bed. A nozzle may be provided at the upper end of inner feed water tubes 8 as shown in Fig. 6 to cause a pressure drop sufficient to permit easy regulation of water flow and uniform distribution in all tubes.
